Food Waste System Upgrade – Carnival Spirit Class (4 ships)

This multi-vessel upgrade project involved transforming outdated food waste management systems into cutting-edge, biodigester-powered solutions across four Carnival Spirit class ships. Matmarine provided full-scope services, including the dismantling of old systems, installation and modification of piping, tank works, steel structures, and complex electrical and automation tasks. All components—mechanical and electronic—were procured and supplied by Matmarine. The project required adaptive logistics and engineering across multiple locations and teams simultaneously. It has significantly improved the sustainability footprint of the vessels.
